The Movers Are Coming!

I was sitting on the couch today, feeling extremely lazy. It is the first big snowstorm of the season in Colorado Springs. Josh and JC were at school, the house was quiet…….mmm, nice. Then it hit me all at once! I’m moving to Korea in 12 days! The passports have not arrived, our house has not sold after being on the market for 18 months, and here I am just being lazy. Panic set in and I mentioned to my husband,”Do you know the movers are coming on Monday? He got panicked too. The funny thing is, there is not a whole lot we can do to be more organized. Half of our stuff is going into storage for maybe 4 years, and the other half is going to follow us over. It has been pretty easy to decide what to take and what to leave behind.  The folks at both moving companies have already made their estimates and now we are just living life as normal as we can until they come and pack our lives into boxes.     My youngest just came in from the cold, all bundled up wanting to nail me with a snow ball, he is happy. JC is making big snow balls and carving them into cool shapes. Both are saying look at me! I think it’s neat because this time last year the boys and I were in Phoenix living with my mom while John was in Iraq. I am glad he is home again and that we are going on a new adventure……together, all of us. So over the next few days, I will try to be calm, try to sleep, try to be a nice mom and caring wife, all in the middle of the biggest move of my life. The truth is I need Tylenol PM to pass out, I’m a huge worrywart, and can be a mean mommy and rotten wife when I am stressed. I just got to remember  to pray and listen to God the whole time.
