Random Cool Korean Things
I have been meaning to write about some of the interesting things that I have seen in Korea and nowhere else.
In public spaces they have purified water for free. Rather than dixie style cups, there are these flat paper cups that open up. They work pretty good, and probably are easier to recycle.

This little park is up in Yong San, and has exercise equipment for everybody to use. We have a little park here in Anjung Ri too. I guess these workout machines are everywhere. No need for a gym membership with these around!

I love the decorative potty lids! This one even has my nieces name on it. I may send it as a gag gift for her birthday.

But the thing that has got to take the cake, are the parking spaces for women. Seoul is working hard to make itself a women friendly city. In an effort to do this, they have dedicated certain parking spaces as ‘women only’. Now being a female myself, you might wonder why I think this is interesting. It’s the shoes the Korean ladies wear. Crazy high heels are the order of the day. So yes… maybe women need special parking spaces so they don’t have to walk as far! Sigh…. Only in Korea.

I discovered your blog this morning while in hot pursuit for answers to the question, “What do you do when your car battery is dead and you have only been in South Korea for 7 days?” Your blog may not have answered THAT question, but for this Army wife, new to Humphreys and feeling…oh maybe just a little stranded but VERY excited to be here…your words struck a chord and got me a little teary but a lot more excited, too. Thanks for sharing!
