Mini Kimchi Pot Giveaway
Hi, from an Army wife at Camp Humphrey’s, South Korea! OK everybody. I found some cute Korean stuff I know you all will love. I’m going to give you a chance to win this set of mini kimchi pots. They are not really big enough to make kimchi in, but they would make great sugar bowls. You could also put your dry creamer in them. You could make a whole hot drink station and fill the big one with loose tea.
These beauties are from the Lotte Mart in Pyeongtaek. I have written about it here before. I am in love with the dollar store there. Or should I call it the 1,000 won store? I dunno, but I pick up a lot of my household goods for my apartment here in Anjeongri. If you want to read about apartments in Anjeongri go here. The Lotte Mart dollar store sells kitchen tools and cups and vases and plastic bins and stationary and shower shoes and shopping bags and and and…… OK you get the point. If you are here in town, here are directions to Lotte Mart.
Exit the CPX gate.
Go left on 38 to route 1, go right.
Take route 1 to 45.
Make a u turn and head back towards post, but go only about 2 blocks.
Take the first right and go about 1 block.
There it is. Parking is up the ramp.
Here is the scale of the smaller pots. The design on the lid looks much like the designs they put on the roof tiles here in Korea. It is supposed to look like a lotus flower from the top down.
Here is the scale of the larger pot. These would also be good for serving up sauces and salsas for entertaining. Flip the lids over too and use them to hold pickles and onions, or maybe chopped herbs.
OK ladies, come and get these cute Korean things! I will be choosing a winner on Sunday June 6th my time in Korea. To anybody in the USA, that is one day ahead of you. To anybody else in the world, I have no idea what your time difference is, sorry! Leave a comment, and I will get back to you through your email. I do not publish emails or IPS’ addresses. I don’t sell lists either. Advertisers do not even know I exist, so there is no worry for you about loss of privacy or getting spammed.
I confess I am just trying to flush out my lurkers and hope lovely people start leaving lovely comments. This is a traffic generating blog giveaway. Love you all! Lovely, lovely lovely. Don’t you love that word? OK, whatever.
This is a giveaway to fellow housewives, juicy girls need not apply. LOL. That ones for you Jenn.

Well, bring them home if nobody responds. Their loss. These pots look darling. Love, Mom
I’ll enter! I read this post and thought that I would run down to Lotte Mart to pick some up — but entering a giveaway sounds like more fun. I keep thinking of a ton of uses for them! Also, just yesterday I discovered this cute little shop that has all kinds of old dishes and pots and things. I THINK the prices are great but the shopkeeper and I had communication issues. So I am going to go back later when I don’t have the kids (talk about bull in a china shop…). I was thinking you might enjoy it. Email me if you are interested and I can email you directions!
Those are the cutest little pots…. I love the design on the lids. I found your blog thru Jenn and love it!
I found your site through reading Jen’s and must say I have really enjoyed living life in Korea through both of you. We are Army retired (24 years) and living outside of Ft. Huachuca, AZ. I find reading about life of a military family in Korea interesting since my husband did 3 remotes there back in the 70′s and 80′s.
We are now in our 60′s and reminisce about the many interesting places that we have lived and the people we have known. I envy you gals the adventures you have had and are going to have during your military careers.
I really don’t need anymore stuff but think those Kimchi pots are darling so I would love to enter your give away.
Those are so cute! Last August I bought my first house. Every quarter I try to have some type of mini theme party. Last month it was a “Wine Fling” I would have used them for the oyster crackers & humis (which I just recently realized I like) I love setting up a ‘pretty’ table. Next quarter I had several ideas, one being Wine/Beer/drinks from around the world & now I can add food from around the world. Now isn’t that a lovely idea …
I do lots of entertaining, these look like fun accessories.
Hey!
I found you through Jenn’s blog. We are moving to Camp Humphrey’s this summer. We are currently stationed at Fort Riley, KS, but are clearing housing on June 11th and heading for Texas. Greg is heading over there on June 28th and the kids and I are coming over on August 2nd.
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and I love chickens too. My brother in law lives on a farm in Iowa and they have the lifestyle that I want so badly. I can’t wait to find out how your garden turns out.
I hope I win the pots – they are so cute! But then again … in a few short months, I’ll be at the lotte mart buying my own.
Sheila
I love the ‘breakfast station’ idea although one may be used for our sea salt. My husband loves kimchi, even all the way in Oregon, but I definitely wouldn’t be using them for that, too pretty!
